The first time I heard of a blog, it was from msanii waaaay back in 2004. I got to know him through some of my writings to Buzz and Pulse. I was mainly writing on Kenyan Hip Hop. I dragged opening my blog first blog till 2006. There were too many issues that kept me away. What I wrote was mainly encouraged by what what I heard on radio or albums that I came across. My radio time was reduced greatly for too much running up and down and again, there was no station that played any notable hip hop. No much albums were put out too and a result I sort of quit the game. Not that I have found time to get back to radio or there are suddenly many albums out, its as a result of probably passion and lots of encouragement from some bloggers, boyfulani in particular, friends and the possibility of turning it into a fully fledged magazine like this one or a publication or better yet a career. With time I have also come to learn that you cannot run of stuff to write. The ‘world’ is too big to just ‘quit’. I have three ready posts and they will be put up as time goes by. For those who knew the old blog, I might recycle or revisit some of the posts. This time round, I will fight tooth and nail to stay ‘alive’ right here in this one and the new one greamTheory
You go Gream!! All the best with this. I’m no hip hop fan, but of course I’m adding you to my reader right this moment. That’s what friends do right?
